We mow on a fixed day each week so your lawn never gets away from you, and we adjust deck height through the season — higher in July heat to shade the roots, lower in the shoulder seasons. Blades stay sharp, so the grass is cut instead of torn, which is the difference between a lawn that looks green and one that browns at the tips two days later.

Spring & Fall Cleanups

Two visits a year that reset the property and make every other service look better.

Spring cleanup clears the winter debris, cuts back perennials and ornamental grasses, re-defines bed edges that the frost pushed out, and gets the lawn ready for its first cut. Fall cleanup takes the leaves off the turf before they mat down and smother it, cuts back what needs cutting back, and leaves the property clean going into winter.

Pruning, Trimming & Shrub Care

Trimming season is real, and timing matters as much as technique.

Hedges get shorn to a clean line, foundation plantings get brought back into scale before they swallow the windows, and ornamentals get thinned so light and air reach the interior of the plant. We prune with the plant's cycle in mind — cutting a spring bloomer at the wrong time costs you next year's flowers, and shearing an evergreen too late in the season leaves brown that will not fill in before frost.

Mulching & Bed Maintenance

Nothing changes how a property reads from the street faster than fresh mulch and a sharp bed edge.

The best time to mulch on Long Island is mid to late spring, once the ground has thawed, or in the fall. We lay it at the right depth — deep enough to hold moisture and block weeds, shallow enough that it does not suffocate roots or pile against trunks. Before it goes down, beds get weeded and edges get spade-cut so the line between lawn and bed is clean and holds all season.

What Your Property Needs, and When

Spring

Cleanup and debris removal, bed edges re-cut, first mow, mulch once the ground thaws, spring planting, and pruning of summer-blooming shrubs.

Summer
